2022 Youth in Physics Program Award Winning Projects
During the Youth in Physics Summer Program that took place in the summer of 2022, participants worked in groups to create astrophysics projects using VPython and creative videos to present astrophysics concepts.
VPython Projects

Group 1
Wenrui Li, Haowei Huang, Sanvi Gupta, Bushra Khatoon, and Chinmay Pala created a model of a Double Pendulum using VPython. Their project placed 1st in the student-choice vote!

Group 2
Maya Piotrowiz, Mustafa Elnhass, James Rin, Cyrus Lin, and Tariq Alaa Muhammed created a model of satellite motion around the Earth using VPython.

Group 3
Angelina Ariza, Sneha Pandey, Titus Tse, Bikash Thapa Magar, and Izma Khan created a model of satellite motion around the Earth using VPython.

Group 4
Aryan Arora, Alexandre Koraia, Adem Amir Ezzedini, and Marysol Alape created a model of Sun-Earth-Moon system using VPython.

Group 5
Mohanad Ahmed, Mohammed Hany, Nathanael Widjaja, Syimyk, and Kamayani created a model of a giant star, a white dwarf, a red supergiant star, a neutron star, and a black hole using VPython.

Group 6
Kareem Tantawy, Sophie Wang, Anwitha Kumbham, Ahmed Samir, and Vic Gao created a model of the solar system using VPython. Their project placed 1st in the student-choice vote!
Group 7
Shreyashi Manna, Sammith Sngamsetty, Yash Tripathi, and Urbi Roychowdhury created a model of a binary star orbit using VPython. Their project placed 2nd in the student-choice vote!
